Clare and I had some girlie bonding time when we went for manicures and pedicures. This was Clare's first time at a nail salon and she was very excited especially after she got to choose her color - bright pink of course. All was going well until she decided to show me her manicure before it was dry. She accidentally smudged a few of the nails and the manicurist, without thinking, reprimanded her for it. I think the woman startled Clare more than anything. Well my little over sensitive one started to cry. The owner made a big deal of telling Clare the manicurist was naughty to have yelled which made Clare feel better. She pulled herself together but really wouldn't look at the manicurist after that, even though the woman painted some fun flowers and smiley faces on a few of her nails. Even with the commotion, it is always nice to have a little pampering.
