Dylan Comes for a Visit

Clare was so excited to have Dylan, her best bud from her old school, come for a visit. Steve, Dylan's Dad, managed to keep the visit a surprise, so when Dylan saw Clare she came bounding out of the car. It was so cute. They gave each other big hugs and then started playing like they had seen each other yesterday. They had so much fun. We ended the visit at a great pizza place called Kinchleys. As we were saying our goodbyes Dylan was so sweet and asked Clare why she had to move and leave school. Ahhh!

Spring has Sprung

Clare's First Day at Her New School

Clare started at a new part-time preschool. It is in the afternoons, three days a week. She did excellent on her first day. She walked right into class and started playing. What a relief! She really seems to like it. Her second day was pajama day at school which she loved.

Giacomo's Birthday Party

After the Yosi concert, lunch, and a brief stop at IKEA, we headed to the old neighborhood for Giacomo's birthday (it was a busy day!). Clare had her facepainted, hung out with Seda, and got cool balloon butterfly wings from the clown. Needless to say, after the party, the kids were fast asleep in the car before we even hit the highway. I had a very peaceful drive home.

Yosi Concert at Pottery Barn Kids

Cathy organized a fun outing. The kids had a great time dancing and singing along with the tunes. Gwen took it upon herself to don Clare's sparkly headband and bop to the music - it was a riot! Then we went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch which of course was as crazy as you would expect when you are dining with seven kids.

Clare's New Dance Class

Clare is really enjoying her new dance class. It is right downtown so we can walk there which is great since the class is at 9:45AM. It is ballet and movement. She was a bit disappointed that she didn't get to wear her tap shoes, but once they started using poms-poms and jumping over flowers, I think she forgot all about them. There is a recital in June which I'm sure will be fun to watch. We had a preview of their recital costumes and they are adorable.

Gwen's 1st Birthday Bash

Nana and Annie came down to help us celebrate Gwen's big day. The girls had on their party dresses, Gwen got to put her hands in the cake, and most of the gifts were big, noisy toys. Sounds like a perfect first birthday to me.

Our first Hoboken visitors

Cathy, Amanda and Abbey came up for a visit about two weeks after we had moved in. It was great to have guests and we really appreciated that they made the trip. We had lots of fun showing off our new house, doing crafts and playing in the backyard. Then we walked to the local playground (the dinosaur park) and after went to the pizza place downtown. (Unfortunately no photos because our camera was away being repaired.)

Can we fix it? Yes we can.
